A highly skilled HR consultant with over 20 years of experience across various organizations, from public listed to government linked to private companies, Sylvia Anita Rockey currently helms the title of Executive Director of 9Advisory. Her current consultancy profile includes the task of uphauling and updating complex organizational matrixes with the key objective of promoting efficiency, optimizing costs and enhancing workforce productivity.
In 2014, she joined Axcelasia Group of Companies (now known as Tricor Axcelasia) as an Executive Director providing HR Advisory Services in Human Capital, Talent Management and Talent Solution and served the Group for 6 years. Prior to Axcelasia, she had an impressive 17 years career with KLCC Group of Companies (a PETRONAS Group company) from 1997-2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Human Resource Management (HRM) and a Professional Certificate in Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She is an Associate Member of the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management and a Certified Trainer of Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB).
Anita has developed, managed and led projects in Competency Based Performance Management, Talent Assessment and Succession Planning. Her extensive years of project management experience brings with it an exceptional quality of understanding people, adapting to different workplace environments and implementing change in a sustainable manner.
Some of her most notable projects include working with the Regulatory Body for the HR Business Transformation Programme, - reviewing the organisation structure and proposing a new organisation structure taking into account the business directions, reviewing policies and procedures, implementing a performance management system, carrying out leadership assessments.
Anita has established herself as a professional with excellent communication skills, in depth knowledge of labor regulations and HR practices, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. She has been a driving force in previous roles as well as the current one in enhancing HR processes, implementing strategies that support business growth, improving strategies for morale and employee retention, advocating for good relations between staff and employers and promoting organization values that are current, fair and sustainable.
As a HR professional with ample hand’s on experience, Anita understands that before you can provide consultation, you must have a detailed outlook and experience of the task at hand. She is passionate about people and thus passionate about human relations in the workforce and aims to bring the Forward-Thinking Workplace and Employee Lifecycle process requirements to her clients’ focus. Her specialty over the last few years have included organization design of macro and micro charts, jobs analysis and functions, KPI’s and its competency modeling, performance management framework, HR process mapping and change management in these volatile times.
